Happy Christmas Everyone!
We spent Christmas in Seascale with Geoff's family, and had a good time. More pictures may follow later, but for now, here is Ruth in her new dress from Godmother Amy.

A bedtime story
About 15 mins after he was put to bed, David walked into the study. Before I could say anything, he told me that he wasn't being naughty, he was just letting me know he needed the bathroom, then off he went.
A few minutes later, after the expected sound effects, he trots back in holding a tube of bubble mixture out and proudly announces that he has managed to solve the little ball puzzle in the lid. I look closely, and sure enough, he has. He is obviously very proud of his trick, so I ask him if he'd like to do another. Of course, he says "Yes."
I tell him for his next trick he should get back into bed and stay there until it's time to get up for school.
"OK" he says, and off he goes.
Then, he stops in hallway, half-way to his room, and looks back at me.
"You're a cheeky monkey Daddy." he says with a big grin. The he trots off to bed.

Delays...
Well, the rest of the cruise posts are going to take a bit longer to post than planned....

Tuesday 25th August 2009 - Half-Moon Cay
Half-Moon Cay is a private island in the Bahamas. It is owned by the Bahamas Government, but leased to Royal Carribean as a cruise destination. The island is 5 miles long and 2 miles wide, but is almosy hollow, with a huge lagoon in the center.
We spent our day here on the beach, enjoying warm seas, white sands, and waterslides. Lunch was listed as "beach barbecue", but was actually a short walk inland, where there is a big cook house and a series of covered dining areas amongst the palms and sea-oat trees. All in all, a fun, relaxing day.

Oh, and if you look on a map, you won't find Half-Moon Cay. On the charts it is properly named Little San Salvador!
